Each year, King Cotton collect over 5,000 tonnes of clothing and accessories across Australia with up to 95% being reused or recycled both locally and by developing countries. Since 1980, this has amounted to around 200,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles that have been diverted from landfill.
King Cotton pride ourselves on supporting local communities, charities and the environment. Over the past 10 years, they have been able to provide partnering councils with over $50,000 and with their support of major charities like, "Make A Wish“, ”Enough is Enough“, Youth off the Streets" and the “The Youth Safe Foundation" King Cotton have donated over $1.5 million to charity. In addition to this, they maintain a partnership with UNSW that proudly supports their textile recycling study and includes donations over $50,000 each year towards sustainable materials, research, and development.

To celebrate cultural diversity in Keysborough and enhance the communication between our team and our customers we have launched a Language Board at the Guest Service Desk!
This board outlines the staff on duty and what language they speak. If there are members of our community that English is their second language there is now opportunity to speak in their native tongue to one of our Centre staff.
We also have an online tool available at the desk to translate written messages if assistance is required in writing.
We hope this is a useful service for our community.
