Connecting our Communities

Community Fundraising Opportunities

As an active member of the community, Parkmore proudly supports local partners. Below, we have listed some of the local partners we are working with or have identified as valuable contributors to our region. Please contact us if you would like to feature your local organisation on this page.

Although we don’t financially sponsor groups we do support local sporting clubs, schools, charities and community groups through other community opportunities. If you would like to find out how you can get involved and take advantage of our community support services download our Community Opportunities Flyer.

Community Advertising Opportunities

Community groups and members are welcome to bring flyers and promotional materials to our Guest Service Desk for inclusion on the Community Notice Board, located next to Coles. There is also a display unit located at the Guest Service Desk which hosts free community newspapers and magazines. Groups and individuals are welcome to deliver materials for distribution to our shoppers.

KING COTTON CLOTHING COLLECTION SITES

Help us to keep Australia Clean and Green!
Donate your old or not wanted clothing and accessories to one of the donation bins located around the Centre.

Each year, King Cotton collect over 5,000 tonnes of clothing and accessories across Australia with up to 95% being reused or recycled both locally and by developing countries. Since 1980, this has amounted to around 200,000 tonnes of clothing and textiles that have been diverted from landfill.

King Cotton pride ourselves on supporting local communities, charities and the environment. Over the past 10 years, they have been able to provide partnering councils with over $50,000 and with their support of major charities like, "Make A Wish“, ”Enough is Enough“, Youth off the Streets" and the “The Youth Safe Foundation" King Cotton have donated over $1.5 million to charity. In addition to this, they maintain a partnership with UNSW that proudly supports their textile recycling study and includes donations over $50,000 each year towards sustainable materials, research, and development.

City of Greater Dandenong

The City of Greater Dandenong maintains over 600 hectares of parks and reserves offering a huge range of things to see and do. There are more than 30 sports reserves, 150 parks and four bushland areas within the city. Why not visit one of the 125 adventure playgrounds designed for children or cycle along more than 50km of bike paths.

A Greater Dandenong office is located within the Centre. View the store details here.

We also work closely with Greater Dandenong Council Libraries to host workshops and activities in Centre. To stay up to date with when these activities are happening sign up to our e-newsletter here or view the What's Happening page here

Language Board

To celebrate cultural diversity in Keysborough and enhance the communication between our team and our customers we have launched a Language Board at the Guest Service Desk!
This board outlines the staff on duty and what language they speak. If there are members of our community that English is their second language there is now opportunity to speak in their native tongue to one of our Centre staff.
We also have an online tool available at the desk to translate written messages if assistance is required in writing.
We hope this is a useful service for our community.
